11 Dragon Greatclaw
Special Colossal Dragon-Hunting Weapon

A brilliant weapon as much for its accessibility as its damage output, the Dragon Greatclaw is a fantastic colossal weapon for dragon fights. The player will need to take down the Draconic Tree Sentinel at Capital Outskirts to gain this weapon. Promising a great range, the weapon’s damage is split between physical and lighting damage. Where this colossal weapon shines is its ability to break a dragon's stance with direct blows to its head, giving the player ample opportunity for further strikes and damage.
This is the lightest colossal weapon in the game, offering huge stagger effects and damage for the smallest cost. Moreover, it holds a 30% added damage to dragon-type enemies, making it a number one choice for the game's numerous dragon battles.

While Dragonwound Grease can be found and crafted first, Dragon Communion Grease is found a bit later by traveling to the Jagged Peak and offers a higher boost in damage. Both of these grease options can be applied to any weapon that doesn't already have an elemental affinity and gives them a large boost in damage to dragons.
While there is a limit to which weapons can get this bonus, it gives players a lot more flexibility to pick the weapon and fighting style they want before adding the bonus anti-dragon effect. Players will also need to focus on storing many crafting materials in order to have as much grease as needed.

Igon's Bow is obtained after completing his quest line and defeating Bayle The Dread. Taking his Bell Bearing to the Twin Maiden at the Roundtable Hold can let players purchase Igon's Harpoons for 1,000 Runes a piece, which already have the anti-dragon effect to deal more damage against dragons.
When these Harpoons are fired from Igon's Bow, they receive a boost in damage against all enemies, which does stack on the anti-dragon effect, leading to the best-ranged option for those looking to take down a dragon from a distance.

The Dragonscale Blade offers two multipliers against dragons and has an imbue damage, which dragons are weak against. The blade has an alternate two-hit slash-charged attack that is powerful enough to be used to take down dragons.
